The Richard Sachs Jr. Racing Grant

15 Jan by Todd Reineking

The Richard Sachs Jr Racing Grant typically awards between $3,000 and $5,000 each year to eligible high school and middle school athletes that have a demonstrated interest in advancing their alpine ski racing skill. The application deadline is February 1st, 2026.

Ski racing is an expensive sport that requires time, extensive travel, and gear. These factors create barriers to access. This grant is aimed at providing opportunities for young skiers who may demonstrate financial hardship, lack of access to ski racing opportunities, and the desire to deepen their involvement in skiing. The funds are to be used to arrange for gear, transportation, race fees, memberships with clubs to train, and other opportunities that would allow a skier who desires it to gain a foothold in the world of ski racing.

The Richard Sachs Jr. Racing Grant is administered by the Heiliger Huegel Foundation for Outdoor Education, Inc., a 501c3 organization To learn more visit www.sachsracinggrant.com or click on the QR code below.
