Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity and JV teams on their performance last night at Sunburst against some of the conference and state's best teams! Our teams attacked last night's slalom course and earned multiple podium finishes. Last night our Varsity and JV Girls both took 1st place and both our Varsity and JV boys took second place vs. last year's state champions.
Top 5 finishes for our Varsity Girls included Megan Isabell in 5th, Tess Talbot in 4th, Valeria Coronado blazing to bronze and Annalyse Hower sending it for silver!
For our JV Girls, Top 5 finishes included Arianna Schieble in 5th, Alicia Payne in 4th, Stella Huggett braving it for bronze, Anna Shotola being sensational for silver and Brooke Hetherington being glamorous for gold!
For the Boys, Top 5 finishes for Varsity included Madoc Ferguson in 4th and Grayson Bruss back from IR, sizzling to silver!
Top 5 finishes for our JV Boys included the BIG O - Owen Knaus battling for bronze and Action Jackson Horn stealing silver.
Congratulations to all our racers for their efforts on a fun, fast night of racing. Complete Individual and Team Results have been posted under DOCUMENTS. Run Orders for our next race will be released over the weekend after we enter the data from last nights race.
Special THANKS to all our hard-working parents who volunteered to work the course on a chilly night. These races cannot happen without you!
Tiffany Rebella as our Starter, Rania Dempsey as Finish Ref, Ryan and Nick Roberts as Gatekeepers, Terri Isabell and Amy Wolf in Timing, Rich Coronado Announcing, Carrie Krug-Trost on Bib Collection and Jen Talbot for organizing tickets (which is crazy at Sunburst) bibs, flags and 75 other things. Thank you all so much! With two races left - we still need to ask for parents to sign up to work. Please access the sign up under DOCUMENTS.
Looking forward – Sunday and Monday nights practice will be a slalom emphasis in preparation for our slalom race at Sunburst on Wednesday, 1/29.
As always – if you have questions or concerns feel free to reach out to Jen Talbot or Coach Reineking. TR
